We are excited to present the program outline of the upcoming ECIM 2024, which promises to be a dynamic and enriching event in the realm of Complementary and Integrative Medicine (CIM). The congress will include 4-5 thought provoking keynote sessions, each focusing on the latest trends and challenges in the field: Professor Adi Haramati who will address issues related to burnout among health professionals, and present new innovative educational programs; Professor Miek Jong will take you on an ‘expedition’ in the wilderness to illustrate the contribution of nature to health and clinical practice. Professor Lorenzo Cohen who will inspire us with his personal journey from the forefront of research and clinical application in “mainstream” CIM, to more controversial research issues in energetic medicine. We are also in the final stages of securing a keynote speaker in the field of innovation, health technology, and CIM. The closing keynote will tackle topics of diversity, equity, and inclusion in CIM.
The first two days of the conference will be a matrix of themes and CIM modalities: Each conference hall will be dedicated to a CIM modality (e.g. acupuncture; herbal medicine; homeopathy etc.). Major themes, such as Integrative Oncology, Pediatrics, Pain Management, Health-Tech, Education, etc, will be addressed across the halls. This structure will allow participants to follow either themes or treatment modalities. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in expert panel discussions, interactive workshops, focusing on research, clinical-practical applications, and more, thus providing a comprehensive understanding of diverse topics.
Day 3 of the conference will celebrate the work of the Special Interest Groups who will present the evolution and outcomes of their significant international collaborative work. SIG sessions will take various formats such as world café, presentations, and interactive sessions all of which will be open to conference participants. Day 3 is also planned to be a patient oriented day, where patients, caregivers, and the general public will have the opportunity to hear from international leaders how to promote their health with CIM.
This conference plan is being thoughtfully crafted to encompass a wide spectrum of topics, ensuring that attendees gain a holistic understanding of the subject matter. It will provide a platform for fostering collaborations, exchanging ideas, and propelling the field forward.
We extend a warm invitation to researchers, professionals, patients, and enthusiasts to join us at ECIM and contribute to the vibrant tapestry of knowledge, innovation, and camaraderie. Together, we hope to create significant impact on the landscape of Integrative Medicine.
